A residential building, constructed in the 1980s in Vietnam, had suffered significant wear and tear over the years. The internal structure had become outdated and was in urgent need of a complete renovation. The primary goal of the project was to enhance the building's safety, functionality, and living conditions. To achieve these goals, the construction team selected high-quality plywood formwork as the main material, ensuring both stability and efficiency during the renovation.
During the renovation, plywood formwork as extensively used for reinforcing walls, beams, columns, and floors. The lightweight design and ease of installation allowed it to adapt to the building's complex internal structure. Additionally, the customizable nature of the wood formwork made it particularly effective for curved walls and irregular areas, significantly improving the precision of the construction. The high turnover rate of the formwork helped minimize material waste, further reducing the overall project costs while maintaining an environmentally friendly approach.
After two months of construction, the building was fully revitalized, with a stronger structure and greatly improved living conditions. The plywood formwork’s excellent strength and waterproof properties ensured smooth and level concrete surfaces, reducing subsequent construction time and improving the overall quality of the renovation. The project received positive feedback from residents and has provided valuable insights for similar renovation projects in other aging buildings in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia.
